~~~*~~~ Food muffins...
Another week just went up in thin air...the days gone...and lots of things we meant to do didn't happen. Too few hours, too little time, too much happening - life happening in fact...and the opposite of life...death. You never know what to expect around the next corner of life...never know when it ends. Give an extra hug to the people around you this following week... I know I will. You just never know...
And to break of the seriuos tone in todays blog post...some food muffins. You all know the drill by know; recipe in Norwegian.
Grønnsaksmuffins ala manne:
~~~*~~~ Back-to-school-Bento...
Yup...this is the day...summer is over... time to go back to school. Butterflies in my stomach and Bento in my backpack.
~~~*~~~ Bread, bread and bread...
I have baked some breads...in my opinion after one of the best recipes out there... As always; recipe in Norwegian.
Brød - grunnoppskrift
~~~*~~~ Lets talk about Bento's...
Breakfast is a dim memory and dinner lays somewhere in the distanse future...your stomach is rumbling and you really need something to eat...and you take up your bag and there is; two boring slices of bread with sweaty cheese. Wouldn't you like your lunch to be a bit more exciting then that? Well... let me introduce *drumroll* ... Bento. A Bento doesn't really take longer to make then a normal lunch - it is all about planning ahead. When you use leftovers from yesterdays dinner or make sure you have single portions stacked in the freezer it is all about assembly in the morning...or even before you go to bed the night before. Thats what I normally do... Another important detail is: you don't need a Bento Lunch Box to make Bento's... just look at mine - Boxes from IKEA. I'm sure most of you have different containers in your house...just waiting to be used. Noone have said that you need a fixed set of boxes...you just need something to hold your food for you. Lastly; be aware of the addiction factor... Moahahaha! People have asked me to share the recipe of my Cottage Cheese Pancakes..and of course I will...so here it comes (in Norwegian):
Cottage Cheese Pancakes
~~~*~~~ A week of food and such...
This week we are having a "week of food" at Hobbyboden - meaning I'll have lots of stuff of that kind on my blog...first lets take a closer look at todays dinner; Hot Autumn Soup.
Norwegian recipe:
~~~*~~~ Fly, fly - up and away...
Okey..not really away since we have our kite in a string and most of the time it was on the ground, but we had fun...and thats all that matters.
It was a bit TOO windy today. You rarely find perfect kiting wind around here...so you'll have to take what you get. ~~~*~~~ Buying a new jacket calls for a matching beanie...
Well... the heading of the day says it all...lol... I bought a new, blue jacket and therefor I need a new beanie... Just ribbing all the way...in some blueish yarn from my stash. I don't remember the name of the yarn - it has been in my stash for a while. ~~~*~~~ Well...what to call it?
The Swedish name for this kind of cake is "Kladdkaka"... I guess you could call it "Sticky cake" or something. It is a heavy, underbaked, delicious cake...and now I have a whole book full of recipes. LenaF sent me and the boys this lovely book...and the boys declared that we should make every Saturday a *bake a kladdkaka day*... we will all roll before Christmas. ~~~*~~~ August is here...
...with lots of new beginnings. Oh man has this summer just flown away or what...? I can't really wrap my head around the fact that we already are starting school again...
Did you know btw? I'm going to be a student again...
It will be fun in the beginning I guess...and not so fun in November.. Ah well... I'll take the sorrows (aka excams) when they come. Right now it is just to much fun to think about me going
*back to school*.
